Justice Minister Receives Danish DIGNITY Delegation To Strengthen Cooperation

On July 14 in Nouakchott, Minister of Justice Mohamed Ould Soueidatt received a delegation from DIGNITY, the Danish Institute Against Torture. The delegation was led by the Institute’s Executive Director, Mr. Rasmus Kri Christensen, and included the Director of DIGNITY’s Department of Prevention and Accountability.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and DIGNITY, with discussions centered on ways to enhance collaboration in key areas, including torture prevention, human rights promotion, and capacity building. The partnership aims to support national efforts to further develop the judicial system and reinforce legal safeguards that protect fundamental rights and freedoms.
