By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Senior Counsel Edmund Andrew Marshalleck has officially been appointed as a temporary Justice of Appeal for Belize for the period June 1 to July 15, 2026.
According to an official announcement, Marshalleck’s appointment followed a call for applications from suitably qualified members of the legal profession.
Marshalleck has practiced law in Belize for more than 30 years and has served as a Senior Counsel for the past 16 years. Throughout his career, he has appeared before Belize’s highest courts in several commercial and civil matters considered significant to the country’s legal system.
In his application for the position, Marshalleck stated that he believes senior attorneys have a duty to provide public service when called upon and expressed his willingness to serve in the temporary judicial role.
His appointment adds another experienced legal mind to Belize’s appellate court system during the temporary assignment period.
