The Namibia Boxing National Championship will take place in Keetmanshoop this weekend, starting today and concluding on Sunday.

All 14 regions of Namibia will participate in this prestigious national championship, where elite male and female boxers will be selected to represent Namibia at the upcoming Commonwealth Games and World Games.

More than 150 boxers from different regions are expected to compete in the tournament, including elite male and female boxers as well as junior athletes. The championship will showcase some of the country’s most promising boxing talent.

The Erongo Region has dominated the championship in recent years, winning  the title of national champions for the past seven years. However, all the regions have been preparing intensely and are determined to challenge Erongo and claim the title of best boxing region in Namibia this time around.

The organizing committee invites the community of the //Kharas Region and surrounding areas to come out in large numbers to Keetmanshoop to support Namibia’s future boxing champions.

The championship is supported by the Namibia Sports Commission, the Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service, and the Namibia National Olympic Committee (NNOC).
