NICH President and Yellow Ginger Festival Committee discuss promotion of Indian history

By Zoila Palma:  On April 30, 2026, NICH President Albert Vaughan met with the Yellow Ginger Festival Committee in Punta Gorda to discuss ongoing preparations and long-term plans for the promotion and advocacy of Belize’s rich Indian history and heritage.

Vaughan was joined by Advisor Yasser Musa, Board of Directors MArreini Palacio-Morgan and Giovani Pinelo, and Director Rolando Cocom.

The Annual Yellow Ginger Festival celebrates the rich nutritional and cultural benefits of yellow ginger.

It is organized annually by the committee led by Curlette Ramclam-Palacio, Eve Supal, and Joy Supal.

This year’s edition of the Yellow Ginger Festival will be held in Punta Gorda Town on 14 and 15 August 2026.
