Nigerian startup Siiqo has launched an all-in-one business management platform designed to help African SMEs and freelancers manage sales, payments, and customer engagement from a single system. The platform aims to replace the fragmented mix of tools many entrepreneurs currently rely on, such as messaging apps, social media platforms, and spreadsheets.
The founders, Okerere Innocent Chinweokwu and Linda Kolapa Ogochukwu, say the solution is built to address inefficiencies caused by disconnected digital tools, which often lead to poor record-keeping, missed orders, and lost revenue. While global platforms exist, Siiqo argues they are not fully adapted to local challenges such as inconsistent infrastructure and trust gaps in informal markets.
Positioned as a “Local Commerce Operating System,” the platform integrates storefront creation, order management, invoicing, and customer relationship tools into one dashboard. It also features an escrow-based payment system designed to improve trust between buyers and sellers, along with support for both fiat and cryptocurrency payments.
According to the company, the system helps businesses build credibility by creating a more structured and verifiable online presence. It also automates financial tracking, helping informal traders transition toward more formal business operations.
Although still at the minimum viable product stage, Siiqo has already gained early traction with about 50 users testing the platform. The company is refining its product based on feedback ahead of a broader launch.
Siiqo plans to generate revenue through transaction fees and subscriptions, charging for escrow and platform services as usage scales. The startup enters a growing segment of African fintech and commerce tools, targeting the need for simplified, locally relevant digital infrastructure for small businesses.
