The Reginald F. Lewis Museum’s Children’s Book Festival returns April 11, offering children and families a day filled with literary exploration.

Attendees will have the chance to peruse children’s literature about-African American children, as well as meet some of the authors during a Book Village.

The annual event will offer an array of activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., including:

  • Author readings
  • Illustration workshops
  • Craft activities
  • Dance parties

Attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of “A Ride to Remember” by Amy Nathan and Sharon Langley.

This festival is dedicated to connecting families with high-quality literature for African-American children. The museum aims to cultivate a love for reading by introducing families to both renowned and emerging children’s book authors.

Admission to the event is free for youth and children (17 and under)
