THE GWOAT IS COMING TO ATLANTA: Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott & Zeus Network Stars Set the Stage for a Historic Night at State Farm Arena

Atlanta is preparing for one of the biggest fight nights of the year.

Inside a room buzzing with athletes, entertainers, media personalities, and influencers, Salita Promotions, Wynn Records, Route 30 Promotions, and Zeus Network officially announced an action-packed fight card headed to State Farm Arena on August 15. Blending championship boxing with celebrity matchups and entertainment, the event promises to be one of Atlanta’s most talked-about nights of the summer.

A Champion’s Entrance

The room settled as WBC and WBA Middleweight World Champion Kaye Scott made her entrance.

Draped in championship gold, Scott carried herself with the confidence that comes from nearly two decades inside the ring. Calm, poised, and gracious with the media, she greeted those in attendance with a smile that reflected both humility and quiet confidence. Don’t mistake her composure for complacency.

With more than 17 years of boxing experience spanning amateur and professional competition, Scott made it clear she isn’t coming to Atlanta to simply share the spotlight.

She’s coming to defend what she’s earned.

“Claressa is one of the greatest to ever do it,” Scott said with a smile. “However, there’s a misconception about me being a newcomer. My professional fights and my amateur experience have all played a role in me holding these belts, and I’m excited to see the strategies and the ways we’re going to fight over these belts in the ring.”

Her respect for Shields was evident. So was her confidence.

Then Came The GWOAT

If Kaye Scott’s entrance commanded respect…

Claressa Shields’ entrance commanded silence.

The room instinctively shifted its attention as the Olympic gold medalist walked in, smiling, radiant, and every bit the champion the boxing world knows her to be.

Let’s be clear about Claressa Shields. She isn’t simply one of the best female fighters competing today.

She is one of the greatest champions boxing has ever seen.

An Olympic gold medalist and the self-proclaimed—and widely recognized—GWOAT (Greatest Woman of All Time), Shields has captured 18 major world championships across five weight divisions. She became the fastest boxer in history—male or female—to become a two-, three-, four-, and five-division world champion and remains the only woman ever to become undisputed champion in three different weight classes.

Her résumé is almost impossible to summarize. Her presence speaks for itself.

Yet despite her accomplishments, Shields approached the matchup with admiration for her opponent.

“Yeah, I gotta come down a few pounds for the weight class,” Shields laughed. “But I’m gonna keep training, and I’m gonna keep showing y’all why I’m the GWOAT. Y’all about to see why they are putting so much support behind me. And I love you, Kaye. I respect you so much… but I’m coming.”

It wasn’t disrespectful.

It was the confidence of a champion determined to remind the world exactly why she’s considered one of boxing’s greatest.

Zeus Network Brings the Entertainment

If the main event showcased world-class boxing, the undercard reminded everyone that Atlanta knows how to entertain. Recording Artists and Reality TV Star Saucy Santana was an amazing host and even caught up with Sheen to talk about the excitement of the upcoming fight.

“Baby this is Zeus, so we know it’s going to be a time on August 15, I wanna see the guys, the girls, the fans, I know this is gonna be a really great fight coming to Atlanta, and i know each fighter is gonna work their hardest to give us a show”

One of the night’s most anticipated matchups features Baddies fan favorites Big Lex and Tesehki, two women affectionately dubbed “heavy hitters” by Zeus Network audiences.

While fans may have expected fireworks at the podium, both women surprised the room with grace and professionalism.

Tesehki addressed the matchup with maturity.

“It doesn’t have to be beef for there to be a fight. This is business. We’re both gorgeous women and respected heavy hitters on our series. I’m not gonna do too much talking. Y’all are gonna see when I get in that ring.”

When promoters playfully questioned why the two competitors were being so cordial, Big Lex didn’t hesitate.

“There is no beef here. There is no fear of one another. We’re gonna do what we came here to do, and like she said… y’all gonna see.”

Sometimes confidence doesn’t need volume.

Orlando Brown vs. Ray J? Yes, Really.

Perhaps one of the most talked-about announcements of the afternoon came when actor and Zeus Network personality Orlando Brown faced off against singer, entrepreneur, and television personality Ray J.

Fresh off recent celebrity sparring headlines, Ray J expressed excitement about continuing his journey into combat sports, while Orlando Brown embraced the love from fans and was eager to show what he really is capable of  alongside his Zeus Network family. The faceoff brought plenty of laughs, cameras, and viral moments, adding another layer of excitement to an already stacked card.

Even Zeus Network security personalities Noah and Xavier got in on the action with a surprise matchup announcement that had the room buzzing. The energy often felt less like an entertainment based match up and more like a traditional boxing press conference and one where entertainment and athletic competition shared the same stage.

More Than a Fight Card

Beyond the headlines and social media moments, the afternoon represented something bigger.

Atlanta continues to prove why it remains one of the nation’s premier destinations for sports, entertainment, and cultural experiences. Organizations like Salita Promotions, Route 30 Promotions, Wynn Records, and Zeus Network aren’t simply bringing championship boxing to the city—they’re investing in experiences that connect athletes, entertainers, fans, creators, and local communities under one roof.

The event reflects a growing trend where boxing intersects with music, digital media, influencer culture, and fan engagement, creating opportunities for rising fighters and emerging creatives alike.

On August 15, the lights inside State Farm Arena will shine on champions, entertainers, and personalities from across the industry. But if the official press conference proved anything, it’s this:

Atlanta isn’t just hosting another fight night.

It’s hosting a cultural moment.

And if Claressa Shields has anything to say about it, the world is about to witness exactly why she’s called The GWOAT.
