New York Fashion Week (NYFW) may be coming to a close, but the style is going to live rent free in our heads for a while.
And we are not just talking about the runways. Yes, the shows gave us trends to look forward to, new pieces we already want to add to our carts and designers we need to know. But outside the venues, at pop-ups and across social events, the fashion girls were putting it on.
Some of our favorite social media influencers turned the NYFW streets into their own runways, giving us ideas for how to take big fashion moments and make them work in real life. We saw feathered minis, bold suiting, oversized silhouettes, fringe, crochet, sculptural pieces, sheer layers, statement prints and enough color to make us rethink playing it safe this fall.
Accessories were working overtime, too. Tiny bags, metallic clutches, stacked jewelry, berets, oversized shades and standout boots made almost every look a slay.
