Unam Football Club (FC) head coach Robert Nauseb says his charges are ready to execute the task against Blue Waters FC in the Standard Bank Top 8 showdown at Swakopmund.
In an interview with the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) Sport, Nauseb said it will not be an easy game against Blue Waters FC, as the blue-and-white outfit will have the home advantage even though they are from Walvis Bay.
“We started with preparations last Wednesday. We are playing a well-known team that has been on form for the last four of their six games.
“They have won all six of their games. So it won’t be an easy game. It will be a very difficult game playing them in their backyard,” highlighted Nauseb.
Nauseb said Blue Waters will have the weather advantage.
“It’s not a league game where we still have to think or need to score to get the points. It’s a knockout, and it’s going to be a different ball game,” he said.
Nauseb said they will travel to Swakopmund with a plan and see what is in store for them.
He said they will need a goal to lead or get an early lead as soon as possible to put Blue Waters FC under pressure.
Nauseb is convinced his charges play good football when they play away. He added that his players are ready with no injuries, except for one player nursing a muscle injury that has recovered 70 to 80%, and who could be in action on the day.
The Unam FC match is scheduled for 16h30 on Sunday, at Vineta Stadium, after the match between Eeshoke Chula Chula and Mighty Gunners FC.
On Saturday, Eleven Arrows FC take on defending champions African Stars SC with the late action on the day to be concluded by FC Ongos against KK Palace FC at 16h30.
The semi-finals action is penciled for Outjo Sport Stadium on 9 May with the final set for 23 May, preceded by an exhibition match.
