ZiGGi Recado returns with 7-track EP

Dutch-Caribbean reggae artist ZiGGi Recado is back with Elevation, a 7-track EP that marks his first full project since 2017. For this release, he teamed up with Germany’s Oneness Records, and the result is a solid collection that blends familiar favorites with fresh material.

Leading the way is Boom Meditation, the early 2026 single that has already been making serious waves on the international reggae scene. It’s joined by its follow-up, One Step Forward, while When She Loves, originally released in 2022, still sounds as warm and refreshing as ever. That laid-back lovers tune is a treat for anyone who appreciates a groovy lovers tune with a strong roots reggae feel.

The new songs are where the EP really opens up. Wheels Keep Turning pairs ZiGGi with rising Jamaican singer Rik Jam, and their voices complement each other beautifully from start to finish. Another standout is Don’t Stay Far, a smooth and heartfelt lovers tune that’s simply a pleasure to hear.

Then there’s Nice Ting, an enjoyable ganja tune with smart lyrics that rise above the usual clichés often heard in songs on the subject. Closing out the EP is X Amount, the 2023 single that gives Elevation a fitting finish.
