The 9th annual Sistas in Sales Evolution Summit brought more than 600 women to New York this month across SIS Week and the Summit itself. The sellers and revenue leaders in attendance represented more than 230 companies and together carry nearly $1 billion in annual quota.

Hosted September 20 and 21 by Sistas in Sales, the largest global organization for women of color in sales, the gathering carried the theme The Evolution and a message delivered with precision: The Evolution Is You. With the support of Netflix, Walmart Connect, ADP, The Trade Desk and Sierra, the Summit was built around three pillars defining the future of revenue leadership: AI fluency, executive voice and career access.

One in three attendees held a director-level, C-suite or founder title, and they traveled from 26 states and multiple countries to be there. Among them were sellers and executives from Walmart Connect, Netflix, Disney, The Trade Desk, Salesforce, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Coca-Cola and Johnson & Johnson MedTech, representing media and advertising, SaaS and technology, healthcare and consumer goods.

A Founder Who Has Carried the Number Herself

SIS Founder and CEO Chantel George opened Summit day with her keynote, “The State of the Sales Woman: The Evolution Is You.” George speaks to this audience with the authority of a practitioner, having built her own career in enterprise tech sales at Twitter, LinkedIn, Dataminr and Yelp before founding SIS. The organization now counts more than 20,000 members across 48 countries, and her keynote drew on that community’s data to show where women in sales are being hired, promoted and paid, which skills are gaining value, and how sellers are growing with the change instead of around it.

“Every woman in that room has built revenue for someone else,” George said. “The Evolution was about turning that same skill toward building her next chapter, with AI fluency, a stronger executive voice and real access to the rooms where careers move.”

That exchange of talent and opportunity sits at the heart of the SIS model. The organization partners with companies committed to diversifying their sales teams and driving revenue growth, connecting them with highly skilled, experienced women in sales who bring distinct perspective and expertise to the organizations they join.

Where the Next Era of Selling Took Shape

On Monday, September 21, 47 speakers took three stages at The Maison Project in Manhattan. The Frontier, the main stage, set the strategic picture. Its opening panel, “The Evolution: AI & the Next Era of Sales,” was moderated by Latia YoungFountain, Head of Global Accounts, Central at LinkedIn, where she leads a Fortune 500 portfolio valued at more than $100 million. She was joined by Reggie Marable, Chief Customer Officer at Sierra and former Head of Sales, North America at Slack; Zach Ciliotta-Young, Chief Revenue Officer at Slack; and Kay Malcolm, Vice President of Product Management at Oracle, who built the company’s LiveLabs platform into a hands-on learning destination.

The Frontier also hosted “The Attention Economy: Selling Smarter in the New Ad Playbook” with leaders from Meta and The Trade Desk, along with “Selling the Game: Sports, the Next Billion-Dollar Frontier,” which brought together Disney Advertising, The Trade Desk and DEPT. “Influence Is the New Pipeline” featured Sprout Social, IZEA and JodieAI alongside Wilglory Tanjong, founder and CEO of Anima Iris, the luxury handbag house handcrafted in Senegal whose designs have been carried by Beyoncé and stocked at Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Build converted insight into career strategy. Its working sessions covered building a personal brand that sells, the realities of rolling out AI inside an established sales team with leaders from Uber, Canva and Quiq, the reinvention stories at the center of “Hired, Promoted, Reinvented,” and the enterprise judgment explored in “The Deal AI Can’t Close,” featuring ADP and North Highland.

Laptops Open, Agents Built

The Academy asked attendees to leave with working tools of their own. Alicia Lyttle, CEO of AI InnoVision, the strategist widely known as the Queen of AI and founder of the International Association of Artificial Intelligence Consultants, led “AI Sales Literacy, Prompt to Pipeline.” Gorish Aggarwal, CEO and co-founder of Sybill and a former Stanford machine learning lecturer, guided “Build Your Own AI Agent for Sales.” Jacqueline V. Twillie, founder of BNEDai and a three-time bestselling author who has trained more than 10,000 professionals across four continents, led “Build Your Negotiation Prep Agent.”

Each masterclass was capped at roughly 30 seats and included with Summit admission, giving attendees direct, hands-on instruction in the tools reshaping their profession.

Recruiters at the Table, Founders in the Chair

Ten on-site activations extended the day well beyond the stages. Sierra, the conversational AI company co-founded by Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor, served as Official Recruiting Sponsor and anchored the recruiting floor. Sprout Social presented the SIS Content Studio, where attendees produced content around their expertise. ADP offered one-on-one business consultations for women building companies of their own, and Netflix hosted an invite-only VIP Lounge.

The partner lineup reflected the breadth of that investment. Netflix served as Welcome Reception Sponsor and VIP Lounge Partner, Walmart Connect and ADP joined as Summit Partners, The Trade Desk signed on as Advocate Partner, Sierra led recruiting, Sprout Social powered the Content Studio, and Flying Whale Wine, the boutique label founded by filmmaker and producer Maba Ba, hosted The Wine Down.

The weekend opened Sunday, September 20, with a sold-out Welcome Reception at Castell Rooftop Lounge presented by Netflix. It closed Monday evening on the Frontier stage with Eva Marcille in conversation with George.

Marcille arrived as a multi-hyphenate with a portfolio to match. She won America’s Next Top Model, held a CoverGirl contract, and earned two NAACP Image Awards for her role as Tyra on The Young and the Restless. She currently leads BET’s All the Queens Men and, in October 2025, launched Sunflower by Eva in Washington, D.C., a wellness-forward cannabis brand developed in partnership with Wishing Wellness.

The Wine Down closing reception followed, sending attendees into the evening with new relationships and the week’s chapter programming still ahead. SIS Week continued with gatherings across New York, the DMV and London, including a Commerce & Retail Mixer hosted with Walmart Connect and a private Creator Circle dinner presented by Sprout Social.

A Decade on the Calendar

Sistas in Sales will celebrate its 10th Annual Summit on Friday, September 17, 2027, in New York City, with tickets going on sale Monday, September 28.

George has described the organization’s beginning as a dinner in Harlem with ten saleswomen, followed about a month later by an event at Salesforce that drew roughly 70 people. Nine summits later, that idea fills three stages, draws partners including Netflix, Walmart Connect, and ADP, and gathers women who together carry nearly $1 billion in quota. Year ten begins on that foundation.
