Police are investigating an armed robbery at Oshikango after four unidentified suspects allegedly stole about N$200 000 in cash from a business in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to the Namibian Police incident report, the incident occurred around 00h30 at Hakahana.
It is alleged that the suspects scaled the boundary wall of the business premises before confronting a security guard at gunpoint and tying him up with his bootlaces.
“They then robbed him of his pistol and a shotgun. After cutting through the roof of the safe room, the suspects stole an estimated N$200 000 in cash,” the police said in the report.
After the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, the security guard allegedly managed to untie himself and reported the matter to the police, the police said.
No arrests have been made.
