Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially concluded his monumental 5IVE ALIVE TOUR, bringing an end to a historic 42-date global run in support of his critically acclaimed fifth studio album, 5IVE. The tour began on July 11, 2025, with a sold-out performance at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and closed nearly ten months later with two back-to-back shows in Guinea Conakry on May 9, 2026.

Spanning four continents and 12 countries across North America, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, the 5IVE ALIVE TOUR has been widely recognised as the biggest African concert tour of 2025. With additional dates added due to overwhelming demand, the run further cemented Davido’s status as one of the most globally dominant African artists of his generation.

Throughout the tour, Davido delivered several career-defining moments that reflected both his personal growth and the increasing global influence of African music. One of the most notable came in April 2026, when he made his debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the only Afrobeats artist on the festival’s lineup. The appearance marked another significant milestone for the genre on one of the world’s biggest music stages.

In Atlanta, the city where Davido was born, his concert coincided with the celebration of “Davido Day,” a civic recognition established by Mayor Andre Dickens in 2023 to honour the singer’s cultural and international impact. Meanwhile, the Nigerian leg of the tour became a major statement on its own, with over 100,000 tickets sold in less than three weeks during his first-ever nationwide tour across the country.

The African stretch of the tour served as a triumphant homecoming, with performances in cities including Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kigali, Freetown, Dar es Salaam, Lusaka, and Abidjan. Across every stop, Davido’s ability to command massive crowds and connect across cultures reinforced his place as one of the leading ambassadors of Afrobeats globally.

The success of the tour also mirrors the impact of 5IVE, a 17-track project that embraces a borderless sound, blending Afrobeats with R&B, Dancehall, and Reggaeton influences. Featuring collaborations with artists such as Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Becky G, Shenseea, Omah Lay, and Odumodublvck, the album debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music in 21 countries and broke Spotify Nigeria’s single-day streaming record for 2025 with 9.3 million streams.

More than just a successful tour, 5IVE ALIVE represents another major chapter in the global rise of African music. Over the course of 15 years, Davido has evolved from a local Nigerian hitmaker into an international cultural force, helping position Afrobeats not simply as a trending genre, but as a defining voice within contemporary global pop culture.
