England confirms top spot in Group L, to tussle DR Congo at round of 32 | 2026 FIFA World Cup

2026 FIFA World Cup (Group L last games):

• Panama 0-2 England
• Croatia 2-1 Ghana

Two second half goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane helped England overcome a resilient Panama in Group L at the on-going 2026 FIFA World Cup at the New York New Jersey stadium.

Bellingham scored the opener in the 62nd minute before skipper added the second 5 minutes later.

England thus qualified to the Group of 32 as group L leaders on 7 points. They will now face African representatives Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

DR Congo smiled 3-1 past Uzbekistan in Group K. Eldor Shomurodov gave Uzbekistan the early lead on 10 minutes.

Yoane Wissa scored a brace with Fiston Mayele adding the second.

Croatia beat Ghana 2-1 at Philadelphia stadium to finish second in the Group on six points.

Petar Sucic gave Croatia the lead after the half hour mark to establish a 1-0 lead by the mandatory mid-way recess.

Derrick Luckassen equalized for Ghana in the 73rd minute but Nikola Vlasic regained Croatia’s lead ten minutes later.

Ghana had also secured their spot among the third placed sides on four points.

The Black Stars from Ghana will now face Colombia on 3rd July 2026 in Kansas city at the round of 32 stage.
