For this week only (until 29th June), every donation to Waterloo Community Counselling will be doubled.

Thanks to People’s Postcode Lottery, all  donations through their Big Give Small Charity Week campaign will be matched £1 for £1.

Important affordable, consistent counselling can be really important for people facing anxiety, trauma, grief, isolation or crisis.

For someone who cannot afford private therapy, a safe space to talk can be the beginning of recovery.

WCC provides low-cost counselling for people on low incomes, including refugees and asylum seekers, so that financial circumstances do not prevent people from accessing support.

This week, a gift can go twice as far:

• • £5 becomes £10 – helping remove extra barriers such as travel costs
  • £35 becomes £70 – helping fund a counselling session for someone in crisis
  • £175 becomes £350 – helping fund five counselling sessions
  • £630 becomes £1,260 – securing WCC’s minimum client offer of 18 life-changing sessions

The charity is aiming to raise £5,000 and unlock a further £5,000 in match funding.

Last year, WCC supported 594 clients, delivered 6,536 counselling sessions, and 93% of clients reported an improvement in their mental health.
