By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) is calling for greater care of road infrastructure after newly laid hotmix near the Boom Junction on the Philip Goldson Highway was damaged by a trailer.
The Ministry expressed frustration over the damage, saying the hotmix had “just” been laid when the incident occurred. “These are the things that really spoil your day,” the Ministry stated, noting that the damage was caused by a company and driver pulling the trailer.
The Ministry urged the public to help protect newly improved infrastructure, emphasizing that roads are built to serve everyone.
“We need to protect our infrastructure because it is there to serve all of us, and all of us pay for it,” the Ministry said.
