Nour Cash & Carry permanently closed their premises yesterday, marking the end of their long association with Brixton Village.

The store was the focus of a determined community campaign back in 2020, where locals successfully fought to stop their unpopular landlords Hondo – who are headed up by millionaire socialite Taylor McWilliams – kicking them out of Brixton.
In 2023, they moved to a sprawling new unit in Brixton Village, close to the market entrance by Pope’s Road, but they’ve now vacated the premises.
The new Nour

However, all is not lost because members of the Nour family have now opened up on Coldharbour Lane, in a smart new shop called Brixton Bazaar.

The shop is located on the site of the former Rum Kitchen restaurant and bar, which closed two years ago.

Exploring the aisles, we were pleased to find an extensive selection of groceries, beverages, household essentials, and specialty herbs—a combination that truly sets this shop apart as a unique destination in Brixton.
