Tonight, however, Rihanna arrived at the Met Gala with a different interpretation. Her hair was wet and slicked back with her ends hidden under a sculptural Maison Margiela Artisanal gown.

Like her gown, the wire was golden and overlapped each other in loops pinned all over the front of her head. Some were wound into the frame of her face. Others had amber-toned jewels sticking out of them.
At the corner of her eye, a cluster of jewels took the place of a wing, while she cried two diamond teardrops under her right eye. Like her gown, her face, earlobe, and cartilage were full of all types of jewels both silver-, bronze-, and gold-toned. And, the same could be said for her makeup.

Then, below the crease, her lids blended into gold with silver inner corners. Her lashes were long and straight, which made her green eyes standout against her jewel-inspired makeup. Her bronze metallic lip was crystallized into the apple her man, A$AP Rocky, was holding as if she just took a big bite out of it.
Her manicure was no different. Full-on gold with an oversized melange of jewels dangling from them. She’s just like Midas, after all: everything she touches indeed turned to gold.
