The Executive Director of Akina Mama wa Africa, Eunice Musiime, and Sarah Bireete, the Executive Director of the Centre for Constitutional Governance (CCG), have been arrested by armed men.
Musiime is a prominent women’s rights advocate who has led Akina Mama wa Africa, a pan-African feminist organisation, in advancing gender equality, leadership development, and social justice across the continent.
Bireete is a well-known governance and human rights activist who heads the Centre for Constitutional Governance, an organisation that promotes constitutionalism, accountability, and the rule of law in Uganda.
