On Thursday, BET announced that the iconic awards show will make a triumphant return on Friday, November 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The ceremony will be broadcast exclusively on BET and will make history as the first time it will be simulcast on CBS. Additionally, it will be accessible on BET Her, VH1, MTV2, and Logo.
This year’s ceremony will be held in Chicago, the city where Don Cornelius launched Soul Train over five decades ago. BET revealed that the revived show will honor both legendary artists who played a pivotal role in shaping R&B and soul music and emerging artists who are continuing to uphold and advance the culture.
The last Soul Train Awards took place in 2023, with Keke Palmer serving as the host. Details about the 2026 host, performers, and honorees are anticipated to be unveiled in the coming weeks. Spotify will serve as the exclusive music streaming partner, while Toyota will be the exclusive automotive partner.
