By Aaron Humes: Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero gave updates on Monday on two fresh murder cases in the Orange Walk District.
Concerning the death of Francisco Garcia, who was found with chop wounds on April 27 after he was reported missing, ACP Romero said the attack likely happened on his farm: “Information is that he was taking care of his farm when he was attacked by persons unknown. An investigation is being carried out and we are seeking 2 persons of interest who can assist with this investigation.”
ACP Romero further noted that two gas tanks and a cell phone were previously reported stolen but some of the items have been recovered. The persons of interest are said to have a farm in the area.
