The big derby between Amus College School and Bukedea Comprehensive School lived to its anticipated billing at the Uganda Christian University (UCU) playground on Tuesday, 5th March 2026.
Faith Akol scored in the second half as Amus College School broke the resilience of Bukedea Comprehensive School during their 1-0 victory in the quarter final.
Akol’s goal arrived from close range after a decent cut back by Margret Kusiima following an initial forward pass from Bushira Nalunkuma.
Amus College School will now face Wakiso region champions Rines S.S during Wednesday’s semi-final contest.
Rines S.S eliminated record champions Kawempe Muslim S.S after a 4-2 post-match penalty victory following a goal-less draw in normal time.
The other quarter final witnessed the defending champions St Noa Girls School Zana eject Latiffa Mixed Secondary School 3-0.
Dorah Nangobi, Grace Kawino (penalty) and Teddy Namata were on target for St Noa Girls School Zana.
St Noa Girls School Zana will face Isingiro district’s Boni Concili Girls Vocational Secondary School.
Boni Concili Girls Vocational Secondary School eliminated Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) 5-4 in post-match penalties that followed a 1-all draw in normal time.
The semi-finals will come on Wednesday, 6th May 2026 before the grand finale on the final day of competition.
All the semi-finalists are guaranteed of qualification to the 2026 FEASSA Games due in Morogoro city, Tanzania.
Girls’ football aside, the USSSA Ball Games 1 also involve Basketball (5×5), Table Tennis, Badminton, Rugby 15’s, Volleyball (U-17), Netball (U-17) and Handball U-17.
