Ahead of Mother’s Day, media personality Brianna Harmon brought women together for the annual Mommy Fest, an event centered on motherhood, reinvention and rediscovering yourself through every stage of life.
Sponsored by Hot 107.9, DTLR, Red Bull, ViaRae Prosecco, Brown Sugar Babe and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the event welcomed mothers and daughters from all walks of life for a day of empowerment, conversation and community. Attendees gathered to celebrate themselves while receiving encouragement and advice from women who have navigated motherhood, business and personal growth.
The event featured honest conversations from influential voices including Emanuella Altidor, Tiffany La’Ryn, Devonishe Grace and Kendra Ferguson. Together, the panelists discussed the realities of motherhood, healing and the importance of maintaining a sense of self outside of parenting.
“Reminding women that healing happens in community is one of the things that Mommy Fest stands for,” Harmon said.

Throughout the discussion, many of the women spoke about the guilt that can sometimes come with motherhood and the pressure to constantly pour into others. The panelists emphasized the importance of self care and remembering that being a mother does not mean losing your individual identity.
“Make sure that you are always consciously loving yourself,” Tiffany La’Ryn said. “If you can’t show up as a good person then good cannot come to you.”
The speakers also reflected on moments of hardship and emotional exhaustion, encouraging attendees to give themselves grace during difficult seasons. While many mothers may feel guilty for prioritizing themselves, the panelists explained that choosing yourself can positively impact the people around you, especially your children.
“When you have those guilty moments your children are going to be inspired by you,” Altidor said.
Altidor also encouraged women not to isolate themselves during challenging moments and instead lean into their support systems.
“The natural thing to do when you feel overwhelmed is to isolate yourself but that’s when you need to tap into your sisterhood,” Altidor said.
As Mommy Fest continues to grow, the event remains a reminder that motherhood is not only about caring for others, but also about evolving, healing and creating space for yourself along the way.
