By Zoila Palma: Belizeans are paying more to dine out, according to the latest data from the Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB).
The Consumer Price Index survey for April 2026 showed that the ‘Restaurants and Accommodation Services’ category recorded an inflation rate of 3.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
The increase was primarily driven by higher prices for restaurant and café services.
The latest figures indicate that meals and dining experiences are becoming more expensive for consumers across the country.
