South Africans on X (formerly Twitter) criticised radio personality and podcaster DJ Speedsta for seemingly dragging his girlfriend Shamiso Mosaka by the hand during the Metro FM Music Awards on Saturday, 25 April.
DJ SPEEDSTA SLAMMED FOR PULLING SHAMISO
Shamiso’s red dress and her boyfriend’s apparently pulling her along as if annoyed by something were the two talking points that popped up in a short video posted by Pop Pulse on X.
Fans expressed concern about Speedsta’s behaviour, wondering whether that brief moment signalled an abusive relationship.

SHAMISO COMMENTS ABOUT TYLA’S DRESS AT NAACP AWARDS
Tons of celebrities slayed on the fashion front, with some rocking Somizi’s superb garments, but Shamiso, on the other hand, got tongues wagging over her dress.
People were harsh on Shamiso, whose mother is the seasoned broadcaster Azania Mosaka, mainly because she was quite vocal about Tyla’s dress at the 2026 NAACP awards.
“I love Tyla down. Maybe I didn’t understand the vision, and maybe it’s above me,” she began.
“For me, the dress looks more like a slip dress that you maybe wear underneath another dress. I think there was a misalignment between the hair and the dress,” she added.
“Maybe it would look edgier on someone taller, I feel like the hair and make-up said so much effort, and then the outfit said, I’m chilling,” said Shamiso.
SHAMISO AND DJ SPEEDSTA ARE GOING STRONG
Although they are fully embracing their romance, it wasn’t entirely built without drama.
Word on the street is that DJ Speedsta ended his relationship with the mother of his child, Lungile Thabethe, to be with Shamiso.
The former couple has an adorable daughter together, but they broke up not long after they welcomed her into the world.
Shamiso and DJ Speedsta have moved past the online drama they faced in 2025, when Lungile’s sister, Ayanda Thabethe, took a jab at Shamiso, and who then clapped back at the Thabethe sisters.
