Police have intensified their search for Golden Grove resident Janiah Antoine and renewed their appeal for him to surrender in connection with the murder of 60-year-old Mordecai Eleazar Francis.
Investigators are urging Antoine to surrender immediately at the nearest police station and assist with their enquiries.
They are also asking his relatives, friends and associates to use their influence to encourage him to turn himself in peacefully.
Police reminded the public that it is an offence to harbour a wanted person or knowingly help that person evade lawful arrest. Anyone who deliberately provides shelter, transport or other assistance to help him avoid the authorities will be prosecuted, police warned.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914, Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
