Matola (MOZTIMES) - Mozambique's central bank is moving to establish a regulatory framework for artificial intelligence (AI), betting that the emerging technology can help combat financial fraud, strengthen banking supervision and accelerate the modernization of the country's financial sector.
The Governor of the Bank of Mozambique, Rogério Zandamela, made this announcement during the opening of the 17th Scientific Conference of the central bank, where policymakers, researchers and financial experts are examining both the opportunities and risks associated with AI.
